Well as I remember that it’s Monday and I need to post a drink of the week, here’s a simple, tart, and sour drink for a lazy evening blog. The Cape Codder is a great drink shaken or stirred.
2 oz Vodka
4-5 oz Cranberry Juice
1/2 oz Lime juice
Combine ingredients together in an iced filled highball glass. Squeeze lime wedge over drink and drop it in.

Sorry for not getting a picture of this one myself, but it’s been a long day.
Well this is one of those drinks that you can serve to someone who says, “I really don’t drink much.” The cranberry and Midori nullify eachother’s strong flavors and makes for a light fruity drink for any occasion.Skinny Dipper
2 oz Midori
4-6 oz Cranberry Juice
Straight build in an ice filled Collins glass. Garnish with a lemon twist.
Today’s Drink is not only on schedule, but is a potent blast of berry flavor. The Red Devil is one of those dangerous mixes, like the “Long Island Iced Tea,” which is sure to get you plastered if you’re not drinking lightly. This variation is a half recipe of the Red Devil. that I’m calling the “Red Demon.” The plus to the Red Demon is that it will fit in a pint glass. The Red Devil will not, you’ll have to find something bigger.
3/4 oz Peach Schnapps
3/4 oz Vodka
3/4 oz Sloe Gin
3/4 oz Southern Comfort
1 oz Triple Sec
1 oz Orange Juice
Dash of Grenadine
Shake all with ice, serve into an half iced pint glass. (For Red Devil find something big enough or serve in two pints)
I figured the Majora’s Mask glass fit the theme of “Demon” quite well.
*Update: This drink makes the potency of a Long Island Iced Tea look mild. Watch how fast you’re downing this one.
Well here I am a day late on a post again, but this time around this isn’t a drink I can recommend. The “watermelon” is a drink that tastes a little like iced tea mixed with a general but undefined juice. The only way I’d serve this to someone is as a finishing drink when said guest is too tipsy to know the difference. Don’t get me wrong it’s drinkable, just not as a starter.
1 oz Vodka
1 oz Midori
2 oz Cranberry Juice
Dash of Grenadine
Shake all with ice and strain into ice-filled Collins glass.
It should be good but…
So I’ve been running a bit behind schedule what with Christmas coming up and everything, so sorry about missing last week and being late this week. That being said here’s a new original cocktail for those looking for something sweet this week.
¾ oz cake vodka
½ oz vanilla vodka
½ oz strawberry syrup
2-3 oz heavy cream
Shake with ice. Strain into cocktail glass.
~ Optional Garnish with crumbled vanilla wafer
